Rovos Rail - The Pride of Africa.

Recapture the romance of a bygone era. The trains - hauled by diesel or electric locomotives - carry a maximum of 72 passengers in 36 superbly appointed suites that combine original fittings with modern technology.

With train journeys from 3 days to a month, the train links some of Africa's finest destinations. From Cape Town to Dar-es-Salaam in Tanzania, from scenic splendours of game reserve in Mpumalanga to the mighty Victoria Falls, from the desert landscapes in Namibia and the stark beauty of the Karoo to the lush sugar cane fields in KwaZulu Natal.

Gourmet dishes complemented by fine South African wines are served in one sitting only in the Victorian era atmosphere of the dining car. The lounges include the observation car at the tail; with deep sofas and wing back chairs for an extremely comfortable ride.
